Join us for a special event with Patricia Skalka, the acclaimed author of the Dave Cubiak Door County Mystery Series. Patricia is a multiple award-winning writer, including the Midwest Book Award for Best Thriller/Mystery and the Edna Ferber Fiction Book Award. During the pandemic, her debut novel, Death Stalks Door County, was selected by USA Today as the book to represent Wisconsin in its special feature: “50 States/50 Books to Read.” 🏆

Set against the stunning backdrop of Door County, Wisconsin, the Dave Cubiak Mystery Series follows a former troubled Chicago cop as he faces off against a host of clever killers on the picturesque Door County Peninsula. Patricia will discuss her series, her writing process, and the inspiration behind her popular mysteries, which include Death Stalks Door County, Death at Gills Rock, and Death In Cold Water.
